Time to take another little break from all the big themed gift guides and focus in again on another awesome brand. Today we’re looking at Lethbridge-based JaMi, a fashion accessory line that emphasizing style and sustainability in equal parts. Design Jaime Johnson upcycles materials, uses vintage fabrics, and does her best to minimize waste while creating pieces your giftees will truly love (and use, and wear). Today I’m highlighting a few of my fave gift ideas from JaMi – get your wish lists ready kids!
Fingerless Fleece-Lined Mitts – $45
I actually have a pair of these gorgeous mitts from JaMi, and they’re so smart! If you don’t want to have bulky gloves or mitts with you when you’re dashing through the snow, running errands, shopping, or even meeting a friend and need to text where you’re at, look no further. Coming in a dozen colours with two types of leather bands, these fleece-lined mitts ensure your hands are warm but leave your fingers free for any dexterous things you’re tackling.

There’s so much more to these screen-printed wallets than meets the eye. I mean, first you’ve got your choice of a dozen different quirky prints on your choice of leather – mermaids, cactus, typewriters, and anchors are just a few of the designs you’ll find at Jami. Then you’ve got two zip pouches to stash your coins and other essentials. Finally snap open one of these beauties and you’ll see plenty of space for all your cards, set against a contrasting vintage fabric. It’s a way-cool choice for your daughter, sibling, or best friend!
Earrings – $12 each or 2 for $20
I love the vintage vibe of these adorable earrings. Made from vintage fabric, these covered button-style earrings totally channel the 1950s while still feeling fresh and unique – wear ’em to set off a simple blouse or LBD. There are tons of styles available from JaMi and they are priced just right to stuff a stocking or gift a one of a kind pair to each of your best friends or nieces.
Printed Change Purses – $16.50 each
Consider these the mini version of JaMi’s chic wallets – ideal for stuffing a credit card and some cash for a night out, or to keep bits and bobs organized in your purse. With a ton of cool prints to choose from and a budget-friendly price point, I actually like the idea of these little pouches serving as the ‘gift wrap’ for whatever’s inside – makeup, gift cards, you name it!
For the record, JaMi takes custom orders (browse through the shop’s feedback on Etsy for some snaps of some of the gorgeous work!) if you want something a little more specific.
